Artist Statement

My paintings come from personal experiences.
I paint spontaneously, just as I live my life.
When I paint, my message is what I see.
My art is espressing what I feel inside.

About the Artist

Preferred medium: oil on canvas. Other mediums include acrylic and water media.

Studied under Kevin McPhearson, Scott Christensen and Bob Kuhn, among others.

Recipient of the prestigious Dolphin Fellowship Award from the American Watercolor Society.

Honored with many awards including the Bud and Gretchen Marble Bronze Medal, the HIgh Winds Bronze Medal, the Oklahoma city Art Museum Award.

Partiicipates in the following competitions... the Oil Painters of America, Allied Artists, Arts in the Parks, American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, Plein Air Paint Outs, and Salon International with the Greenhouse Gallery, among others.

Hosts and conducts a series of ongoing workshops for artists and regularly juries shows and competitions.
